Hi and welcome to the home of hobby breeder, B F's (Reg'd) Havanese. We take pride in our purebred Havanese dogs and strive to see that they are well cared for and healthy. We live in Pearl, Mississippi and are one of very few Havanese breeders in our state. Our pups are born in a spare bedroom always with our help. Our Havanese come from quality pedigrees and our Havanese pups are from matings that have been carefully studied prior to breeding. The Havanese are people dogs and one of the best companions you could want. In the Havanese breed the males are just as loving as the females, if not more so. Our Havanese dogs are CERF'd yearly as well as other testing at appropriate age. Our vet checks our pups thoroughly before they leave for their new homes. They are sold on a spay/neuter contract as pets or with a show/breeding contract with a year genetic health guarantee.
B F Havanese strives to breed healthy, lovable dogs with good temperament and conformation for the whole family to enjoy. Our Havanese pups are proudly AKC registered, bred from very well known lines and raised in our home in a family environment. We take great care to ensure that our Havs are healthy and when bred are in the best condition. One of our main goals is to provide a dog who will bring a family the love that we have known with our Havanese.
We feed Fromm dog food and recommend it to our new puppy owners. A holistic approach to complete and balanced nutrition. Made with fresh duck, chicken, lamb, whole eggs and real Wisconsin cheddar. It is enhanced with salmon oil for a healthy coat and probiotics to help aid digestion. We give cottage cheese and yogurt as a treat occasionally. The Havanese love it!
Some of our dogs have been used in pediatric therapy by doctors. I know from experience that they help in our time of need. After having major back surgery in 2009 I was confined to bed for several weeks after which time I was really feeling down. I had not been able to be around the Havs due to my illness. One day I asked for them to be brought to my room and they were so happy to be with me and I was happy to have them there also. From that day on they were by my side as I slowly recovered. My spirits were lifted and I thank my Havs for being so devoted to me. They are great!
We are always conscious of the AKC standard in our breeding. We are dedicated to placing our puppies in good, loving homes as loved companions first and possibly show. We will gladly furnish references from our vet or previous puppy owners. We live near the Jackson International airport so a visitor could easily pick up a pup and we do limited shipping to major cities, weather permitting.
We are so proud of Pearl obtaining the ROM title recently. She is now AKC CH BF's Pearl Of Nirvana ROM. Thank you Connie. Congratulations to all of Pearl's offspring who became champions and made this title possible!
